Who writes Unbettable
Articles are written and checked by the Unbettable team. Unbettable offers peer recovery support. We aren't doctors, therapists or financial advisors.
How we research
- Facts come from primary sources first: government agencies, state regulators, the National Council on Problem Gambling, peer-reviewed research and the sportsbooks' own help pages.
- Every page lists its sources at the bottom, with links, so you can check them yourself.
- We say when evidence is thin. If research comes from other addictions, a small study or a single news report, the page says so.
- We don't make things up. No invented statistics, stories, testimonials, credentials or results.
How we keep pages current
Helplines, laws and app menus change. Each page shows when it was last updated. Pages about sportsbook accounts, VIP programs, prediction markets and state laws are checked about every three months, and sooner when something big changes.
What we never do
- We never take money from sportsbooks, casinos, prediction markets or any gambling company, and we never will.
- We don't run affiliate links to gambling sites or advertise them.
- We don't sell your information or use advertising trackers.
Health, legal and money topics
Our content is education and peer support. It doesn't replace professional diagnosis, treatment, or legal, tax or financial advice. Pages on those topics point you to professionals and free services like the national helpline and nonprofit credit counseling. We're working to add review by a certified gambling counselor to our health pages.
