You've probably deleted the app before and had it back on your phone by the weekend. Closing the account itself puts a real wall between you and the next bet. Betr Picks is a pick'em fantasy app that state sportsbook self-exclusion lists often don't cover.
Menus change with almost every app update. If you can't find a setting, open support chat and type exactly what you want, like "close my account" or "self-exclude me."
How to close your Betr account
- Withdraw your balance first.
- Go to Account, then Account Details, then Close Account, and confirm.
Betr says you can ask to reopen a closed account once, and a second closure is permanent. Lifetime self-exclusion is the firmer option.
Closing vs. self-excluding from Betr
Picture three locks. Closing is the weakest, since support can usually reopen it. A break holds until a date you pick. Self-exclusion is the strongest and usually can't be lifted early, so that's the one you want if you're quitting.
Pick'em is still betting
Betr calls them picks or entries, but you put money in and win or lose based on games. If you're quitting sports betting, Betr has to go too. Why pick'em apps hook people.
Take a break from Betr
- Timeout: 3 to 365 days, under Gaming Limits. It can't be shortened.
Self-exclude from Betr
- Self-exclusion: 1, 2, 3 or 5 years, or lifetime, under Gaming Limits. It can't be reversed early.
Because Betr is a pick'em fantasy app, your state's sportsbook self-exclusion list may not cover it. Exclude on Betr directly, and on any similar apps you use.
Set limits on Betr
Daily, weekly or monthly play limits under Gaming Limits. A limit on one app is easy to get around by opening another one. Use limits alongside self-exclusion, never as your only lock.
Cut Betr off from your money
- Delete the Betr app and sign out on every device.
- Install a blocker. BetBlocker is free and can be locked for up to five years. More options are in how to block sports betting apps.
- Ask your bank whether it can block gambling transactions on your cards.
- Stop the marketing. Check notification settings and unsubscribe links.
Stop Betr VIP hosts, rewards and offers
If anyone from Betr contacts you personally with bonuses or offers, treat it like a VIP host.
To make it stop, self-exclude, then email Betr support asking to be removed from any VIP program, rewards, marketing and texts, and keep a copy. If you're contacted after self-excluding, save the messages and report them to your state gaming regulator. More on how VIP hosts work and how to shut them off.
What about your data?
Ask support about data deletion.
Close the rest too
Closing Betr helps. The other apps are still one tap away, so shut those down too:

FAQ
How do I delete my Betr account?
Go to Account, then Account Details, then Close Account, and confirm. Betr says you can ask to reopen a closed account once, and a second closure is permanent. Lifetime self-exclusion is the firmer option.
How long does Betr self-exclusion last?
1, 2, 3 or 5 years, or lifetime, under Gaming Limits. It can't be reversed early.
Does self-excluding from Betr block other apps?
No. Self-excluding on Betr covers Betr only, and state sportsbook lists often don't reach a pick'em fantasy app. Exclude on each app you use.
What happens to the money in my Betr account?
Withdraw it before you close or self-exclude. Some apps lock your balance until a self-exclusion ends.
What if Betr keeps emailing me offers?
Unsubscribe, then email support and ask to be removed from all marketing. If you've self-excluded and the offers keep coming, save them and report it to your state's gaming regulator.
